The second challenge was to create a play based on ‘Myth and Folklore’. I was previously going to set it in the Roman era, when Constantine chose between Mithrasism and Christianity, and instead merged them. But then I thought, nah, religion’s a whole ‘nother ballpark.
So this was inspired by the ‘Bloody Mary’ folklore, I set in in 1950’s America, as I love old American horror films, seemed like a good place to create the setting. It’s in Conneticut too!
However, it’s a comedy, I couldn’t resist.
The bonus job was to style it in naturalism. This one wasn’t so hard as I prefer to write in that style.
